One of the fashion editorial shoots I shot in 2016 has just been published in Ugly Magazine. This was a studio shoot with a great model – Tess Mimmo from Brazen Models in Melbourne, Australia. We did the shoot in the evening. Tess had a cold and had already done two other shoots in the same day. What a trooper she was. Plus Tess is a really nice person, which makes working with her even better. Tess has great skin, which makes her shots easy to retouch. Since I do all my own retouching, that’s greatly appreciated.
The shoot was styled by Ayesha Sedgman, who is not only talented, but also a really great person to work with. We have worked together before and it was great to collaborate with Ayesha on this shoot. Ayesha has a great love for fashion and styling and her skills are clearly visible in every shoot she works on. She is also flexible and relaxed, which are great qualities to have. Ayesha’s garment choices create looks that flows from shot to shoot, making a coherent fashion story easy to create. Ayesha always convincingly coordinates garments, shoes and accessories.
The talented MUA Stéphanie Sin, from France, did hair and makeup for this editorial fashion shoot. Stéphanie and I have also collaborated in the past on various shoots. Stéphanie is expert, chilled out and has great people skills. She is also experienced in henna work, including white henna designs.
Diana Vuong, my intelligent and reliable photographic assistant, did her usual great job on this project. Di is also a talented photographer in her own right, as you can see from her Instagram feed. Di has worked with me on other fashion editorial shoots before. Sometimes I even get her involved in the image selection process, where her help is always appreciated.
